Pancake Breakfast at Christ's Body Ministry God's love can be shared in the form of a warm meal. This team prepares a pancake & sausage breakfast each Friday morning for about 150 homeless men and women.

MountainGlory!:
To bring people to Christian faith and spiritual maturity, we prepare Bible camps, retreats and other gatherings/activities.

International Students Inc.:
This interdenominational ministry befriends international students at area universities and connects them with Jesus. Become a friendship partner or help with English conversation or one-time activities.

Local Missions:
Caring for those in our community who need a hand up. This is often done in partnership with local organizations.

The Food Bank at St. John's conveys the love of Jesus to many. While St. John's is unable to offer a cash support program, canned & dried goods are available through our food bank, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8am-12:30pm.

Boy Scouts of America:
Troop 199 is for boys age 11 to 18 and has a great program of fun and adventure with purpose. Join us if you desire to develop skills and values to benefit boys as they grow into responsible manhood.

Church Office Team:
We connect people with Jesus by assisting members and our larger community to locate the support or information they need within St. John's.

Facility Care Team:

Women’s Ministry takes charge where women can make a difference. We sponsor many helpful, fun, evangelical, and reach-out events that make an impact for the people of St. John's and others. We have a great time using our passions and God-given, sometimes women-specific, gifts to serve Him.

This team prepares a variety of activities and classes where seniors can meet, mingle, and connect with other Christian seniors.

Christian Education Ministries


DLHS-Partners in Christian Education:
Denver Lutheran High School strives to create a community where we come to know, love and serve Jesus Christ. We're the full package for your high school age child; academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Call 303.934.2345 for more information.

Confirmation classes are being offered at St. John's Church October through May for all students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We meet in the youth room downstairs at St. John's from 3:30 to 6:00 every Wednesday. Look for changes in this schedule to appear in Connections and to be emailed to all parents. High School Youth Group meets at St. John's every Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8:30. Monthly excursions will take us to many new and exciting destinations. Look for email updates to the calendar for details about times and dates. Contact Kyia Friesen  with any questions at youth@stjohnsdenver.org

Children's Ministry:
This is an opportunity to help children learn about Jesus and his love for them. Teachers and parent helpers for Nursery through 5th grade join together to build a foundation of Godly character in children through Bible stories, drama, music, and age-appropriate Bible lessons.

Altar Guild:
So that people may enjoy meaningful worship, this team shares in the joy of working behind the scenes. Preparing for communion, baptisms, & seasonal celebrations. There are also teams for weddings and funerals.

The Publications team
at St. John's creates and produces graphic arts pieces including slide presentations, the weekly church newsletter, books for classes, informational fliers and brochures, and more. People with a wide variety of gifts are needed, including those who simply want to help fold, cut and collate printed pieces. We also need people gifted in writing, editing, graphic arts, and computer programs including Word and PowerPoint.

Praise & Worship Music Ministry:
We believe that God is looking for wholehearted worshipers, who worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:23-24). If you play an instrument and have some experience with Contemporary praise & worship music, if you are comfortable reading a chord chart and if you enjoy all types of musical styles then you will be interested in becoming a part of the worship team for the Sunday 10:30 AM Contemporary service.

If you enjoy singing, have a good ear for a melody and are enthusiastic about God and want to help other folks experience God's presence, then we are looking for you.

We also offer a classic service Sunday at 8:00 AM which features hymns with the accompaniment of organ, piano, choirs and soloist as well as instruments such as the trumpet and cello. Technical Teams: This team has opportunities for audio, video, lighting, power point/projection techs as well as tech support assistants.

Pastoral Care Ministries

Homebound Ministry Care, compassion, connection, and gentle loving hand from a follower of Jesus. That's what this ministry team offers members who now are unable to physically attend services.

Stephen Ministry Lay ministers offer Christian care to someone during their time of difficulty or transition. It is service with a listening ear, an accepting heart, prayer, and encouraging words.

Depression Support:
This group meets weekly to support those who contend with depression and helps build coping skills through Jesus. Facilitators, good listeners, and team support roles will work together to bring care.
